Portable 2-in-1 Pickleball Net with Wheels

Nets

A portable pickleball net on wheels that converts between two setups - the answer where there is no marked court, which in Tanzania is nearly everywhere. Wheels matter more than they sound: a net you can roll out alone gets used, one that needs two people does not.

Product description

About this product

Pickleball Net with Wheels – in stock at 361 Degrees Adventure in Dar es Salaam.

A portable pickleball net that rolls on wheels and converts between two configurations.

This is the single most useful object for pickleball in a country with almost no marked courts. Pickleball needs a 20 by 44 foot flat surface – the same footprint as a doubles badminton court – and a net. The surface you can find: a car park, a compound driveway, a school hall, a disused tennis court. The net is the only thing you have to bring.

The wheels are not a minor convenience. A portable net that one person can roll out and set up alone gets used several times a week; one that needs two people to lift gets used when someone organises it, which is rarely. That distinction decides whether a club happens.

Regulation pickleball net height is 36 inches at the posts and 34 inches at the centre. Check that yours sets to those figures – a net a few inches out changes the game noticeably, particularly at the kitchen line.

We are not documenting the two configurations, dimensions or weight, because they are not published anywhere we can verify. Ask us and we will set the net up here and measure it before you order.

Pickleball, not padel – padel needs an enclosed glass court and cannot be played with a portable net.

Buying a Pickleball Net with Wheels in Dar es Salaam

361 Degrees Adventure keeps the pickleball net with wheels at our showroom in Upanga, Dar es Salaam, with delivery countrywide across Tanzania. Come and handle it before you buy, or order online and collect.

Every pickleball net with wheels is checked in store before it leaves us, and our staff use the same kit in the field, so you get an honest answer on fit and sizing rather than a sales pitch.

Not sure which pickleball net with wheels suits you? Call or message the showroom and we will talk you through the options that are actually in stock in Tanzania.

Spare parts and replacements for the pickleball net with wheels are easier to get here than on an overseas order, which matters once the gear is in use.

Questions

Good to know

What size is a pickleball court?

Twenty feet by forty-four feet, which is the same footprint as a doubles badminton court - 6.10 by 13.41 metres. The net is 36 inches high at the posts and 34 inches at the centre. The non-volley zone, the kitchen, extends seven feet back from the net on each side.

What net height should it set to?

36 inches at the posts and 34 inches at the centre. That two-inch sag is deliberate and it is part of the regulation. Check yours measures to it - a net a few inches out changes play noticeably at the kitchen line.

Can one person set it up?

That is what the wheels are for, and it matters more than it sounds. A net one person can roll out and set up alone gets used several times a week; one that needs two people gets used when someone organises it.

What does 2-in-1 mean here?

It converts between two configurations, but the supplier has not documented which. Ask us and we will set it up here and tell you exactly what the two setups are before you order.

Where can I play in Dar es Salaam?

Anywhere flat and 20 by 44 feet - a car park at the weekend, a compound driveway, a school hall, a disused tennis court. The net is the only thing pickleball needs that you have to bring with you.

Is padel the same as pickleball?

No, they are different sports and the equipment is not interchangeable. Padel is played on an enclosed 20 by 10 metre court with glass walls that are in play, using a solid perforated racket and a depressurised tennis-type ball. Pickleball is played on a badminton-sized open court with a flat unperforated paddle and a rigid plastic ball with holes in it. A padel racket is too heavy for pickleball and a pickleball paddle cannot play a wall.

Indoor or outdoor pickleballs - what is the difference?

Indoor balls have larger holes, usually 26 of them, and a softer, lighter plastic. They are quieter, slower, and easier to control on a smooth gym floor. Outdoor balls have smaller holes, usually 40, and a harder plastic, because an outdoor ball has to hold its line in wind and survive a rough court. Use an outdoor ball outdoors - an indoor ball cracks quickly on a hard court.

Do you deliver in Dar es Salaam?

Yes. We deliver across Dar es Salaam and send nationwide to Arusha, Moshi, Mwanza, Dodoma, Zanzibar and beyond by courier. A net is a bulky item, so tell us when you order and we will arrange the right courier.
