The Crusader Pro is Bestway-s single-lens mask for adults and older teenagers. One wide pane of scratch-resistant tempered glass across both eyes gives an uninterrupted view – no centre frame – and a soft edge seal shapes to the face around it.
Glass is what separates a mask you keep from one you replace each season. Plastic lenses scratch from the first handful of sand, and the scratches scatter light so everything looks hazy. Tempered glass resists that, and if it is ever broken hard enough it fragments into blunt granules rather than sharp pieces – which is why it is the only lens material serious diving masks use.
The head strap is two-part, splitting into an upper and a lower band at the back. That is not decoration: a single flat strap sits on the widest part of the skull and works its way up and off as you swim. A split strap sits above and below the crown and stays put. Both halves adjust with buckles at the sides.
It is made without latex or PVC, which matters for anyone with a latex sensitivity and for the general comfort of something pressed against the face for an hour. Bestway rate it for 14 years and above – it is an adult-sized mask and it will not seal on a child.
To get a mask to work, get the fit right before you get in the water. Hold it to your face without the strap, breathe in gently through the nose, and let go. A mask that fits stays on by suction alone. If it drops off, that shape is wrong for your face and no amount of strap tension will fix the leak.
