Do these protect against snake bites?

No. These are weather and debris gaiters - they keep water, mud, thorns and grass seeds out of your boots. If snake protection is what you need, our snake gaiters use rigid reinforced panels and are a different product entirely.

What do they actually keep out?

Water, mud, grass seeds, small stones and forest debris. In practice the wet-grass soaking and the grass seeds are what people notice most on a Tanzanian trail.

Will they fit my boots?

One adjustable size covers most adult legs and boots. Bring your boots to the Dar es Salaam showroom and we will check the fit before you buy.

Do they ride up when pushing through bush?

Tighten the top strap and the under-boot strap properly before setting off. Gaiters ride up when they are fitted loosely, not because of the design.
