About this product
Ultralight Camping Tent – in stock at 361 Degrees Adventure in Dar es Salaam.
A 5.28 square metre hot tent with a stove jack, split into a bedroom and a living room, on 7001 aluminium poles.
The Dune 7.6 is the bigger, heavier answer to the same idea as the Massif: a tent you live in rather than one you only sleep in, with a port for a wood-burning stove flue. At 320 x 240 cm it gives 5.28 square metres of floor, divided into an inner sleeping compartment and an open living area where the stove, the packs and the chairs go.
The fabrics are a step heavier than a backpacking tent and that is the point. The fly is 75D 290T polyester rated 2000 mm, the inner a 240T polyester pongee, and the ground sheet a tough 150D polyester Oxford rated 3000 mm. Poles are 7001 aluminium alloy. It packs to 66 x 26 x 35 cm and weighs 7.2 kg, which is a two-handed lift into a vehicle rather than something you carry up a mountain.
Used without a stove it is simply a large, well-built four-season shelter with a proper living space. Used with one, it becomes somewhere you can dry out, cook and sit through weather that would otherwise send you to bed at six.

Using a stove safely
The stove jack makes stove use possible. It does not make it risk-free.
- Carbon monoxide kills silently. A wood stove burning in an enclosed tent produces it. Always run a battery carbon monoxide alarm inside, keep a vent open at all times, and never seal the tent up around a burning stove.
- Never sleep with the stove burning. Let it burn down first.
- Use a flue with a spark arrestor, and keep the flue clear of the fabric where it passes through the jack.
- Keep water or an extinguisher to hand, and the stove on a level, non-flammable base.
- The stove, flue and CO alarm are not supplied with the tent.
