A four-person cabin tent with walls that go up instead of in, so the whole floor is usable and you can stand to get dressed.
Most tents this size are domes, and on a dome the walls curve inward from about knee height. The floor plan says 8 ft x 7 ft; the part you can actually sit upright in is a good deal smaller. This one is built on a straight-wall frame, so the walls rise almost vertically and the 72 in centre height carries out towards the edges. Four people sleep on the floor. Two people plus gear live in it comfortably. One queen air bed fits with room to walk around.
The frame is steel rather than fiberglass. That is the trade CORE makes across the cabin range: more weight in the bag, more resistance to bending when wind pushes on a tall flat wall. Over the top goes an H2O Block rainfly, factory taped, over 68D polyester treated to 1200 mm, with the seams sealed.
The ceiling is a panoramic mesh panel. With the fly off on a dry night you lie and look straight up; with it on, ground-level vents draw cool air in while the warm air lifts out through the mesh. There is a sealed electrical port in the wall for a power cable, a gear loft overhead and storage pockets down the sides.
At 13 lbs (5.9 kg) packed into a 27 in bag, it belongs in a car boot rather than on a back.

It is a 3-season tent for ordinary rain and wind, pegged down and guyed out. Tall straight walls catch more wind than a dome, so it is not the choice for an exposed ridge in a storm.
