About this product

The CORE Padded XL Sling Tension Chair is the wide, firm one. A tension-locking frame pulls the fabric taut when you open it, so the seat supports you instead of sagging into a hammock the way sling chairs usually do after a season.

The seat is 23 in (58 cm) across with padded 600D polyester over the seat and back, the frame is powder-coated steel rated to 300 lbs (136 kg), and all-terrain feet spread the load so the legs do not sink into sand or soft ground. Cup holders on both arms take a range of bottle sizes, and the chair folds flat into the included carry bag with a shoulder strap.

What does the tension frame actually do?

When you open the chair, the frame locks under tension and pulls the fabric taut. That gives you a firm, supportive seat and a more rigid chair while you are in it, rather than the loose sling feel most folding chairs have.

How much weight does it hold?

CORE rates the frame at 300 lbs (136 kg).

Is it good on the beach?

Yes, better than most. The all-terrain feet are wider than standard tube ends, so the legs do not knife straight into soft sand. Rinse the frame with fresh water afterwards.

How wide is the seat?

23 in (58 cm) across and 19 in (48 cm) deep, sitting 19 in (48 cm) off the ground. It is noticeably roomier than a standard quad chair.

How heavy is it?
