Highlights

A pool game that does not need swimmers

Most pool games need everyone in the deep end and able to swim. Ring toss works from the steps, from the shallow end, from the poolside, or on the grass - so the children who are not confident yet can still play with everyone else.

Floating cross target

Stays upright and in place on the water instead of drifting off or tipping over.

8 rings, two colours

Four red and four blue, so it is two players or two teams straight out of the bag.

Thick PVC

Heavier gauge than a beach toy, because a pool game gets landed on, sat on and thrown all afternoon.

Packs flat

Deflate the lot into a bag for a picnic, a beach day or a hotel trip.

Product description

About this product

Inflatable Pool Ring Toss – in stock at 361 Degrees Adventure in Tanzania.

A ring toss set is one inflatable cross that floats as the target and eight rings to throw at it – four red and four blue, so it splits into two players or two teams without anyone arguing.

The reason it works better than most pool toys is that it does not require anyone to swim. Children who are still nervous in the water can play from the steps or the shallow end alongside older ones who are swimming, which is unusual and genuinely useful at a family pool or a party. It also works out of the water entirely – on a lawn or a beach – so it is not dead weight on a day that ends up not being a pool day.

The cross is the part that has to be right. A floating target that tips over or drifts away stops the game within minutes; a properly proportioned inflatable cross sits flat, stays upright and holds its position.

It is thick PVC rather than the thin film used on cheap beach inflatables, which matters because these get sat on, landed on and thrown for hours. Inflate everything firm but slightly soft – drum-hard PVC in the midday sun expands further and splits a seam.

Deflated it packs into nothing, which is what makes it worth taking on a trip.

Questions

Good to know

Do the children need to be able to swim?

No, and that is the point of this game. It plays from the steps, the shallow end or the poolside, so a child who is not confident in water can play alongside one who is. As always, children near water need an adult watching.

Can we play it out of the water?

Yes - on a lawn, on sand or on a hard surface. The cross sits flat wherever you put it. That makes it worth packing for a trip even if you are not sure there will be a pool.

Why do some figures say supplier figure?

The cross and ring dimensions come from the supplier-s specification rather than a manufacturer datasheet we could verify, so we mark them. If an exact size matters, ask us and we will measure the stock in the shop.

How do I inflate it?

By mouth or with any small pump. Inflate firm but leave it slightly giving - PVC expands in the heat here, and a toy pumped drum-hard in the morning can split a seam by midday.

Is it a flotation device?

No. Pool toys are toys. None of these pieces will support a child in the water and none should be treated as a float. Non-swimmers still need a vest and an adult within reach.

How do I look after inflatable pool toys?

Rinse the chlorine or salt off, dry them fully before folding, and store out of direct sun. UV is what kills PVC - a toy left on a sunny poolside all season goes brittle and splits at the seams, while the same toy stored indoors lasts years.

Can it be repaired?

Yes, with a standard PVC patch kit. Clean and dry the area thoroughly, apply the patch and leave it weighted flat for several hours before re-inflating. A rushed PVC repair almost always fails.

Do you deliver in Dar es Salaam?

Yes. We deliver across Dar es Salaam and ship nationwide to Arusha, Mwanza, Dodoma, Zanzibar and beyond. You can also collect from our shop.
