Naturehike 4-in-1 Tableware Camping Set

Cooking Gear

Four aluminium alloy cookware pieces that nest into a single 14.5 x 14.5 x 18 cm stack weighing 450 g complete - two pots and two pans in the space one pot would normally take. The folding handles carry a silicone sleeve so you can lift a pot straight off the burner, and the non-stick lining means a quick wipe is usually all the washing up a camp kitchen gets.

Highlights

A whole camp kitchen in one 450 g stack

Two pots, two pans and their folding handles pack inside each other and drop into a bag the size of a large water bottle. Enough to cook, serve and boil water for two people without carrying a second pot anywhere.

450 g for the full set

All four pieces together weigh less than a single litre of water, so the whole kitchen adds almost nothing to a Kilimanjaro pack.

Nests into 14.5 x 14.5 x 18 cm

Every piece slides inside the next one, and a gas canister fits in the middle of the stack.

Cool silicone handles

The folding handles are wrapped in silicone, so a pot comes off the flame without a cloth and folds flat for packing.

Non-stick aluminium

Heats fast on a small burner and wipes clean, which matters when water has to be carried to camp.

Product description

About this product

Tableware Camping Set – in stock at 361 Degrees Adventure in Tanzania.

This is the cookware set most people end up buying once they have tried to cook for two on a single pot. It is four aluminium alloy pieces – two pots and two shallower pans – each sized so that it slides inside the next, finishing as one stack 14.5 cm across and 18 cm tall. The whole set weighs 450 g, which is roughly what one decent steel pot weighs on its own.

The large pot holds enough for a two-person meal at 14.6 cm across and 11 cm deep, and the second pot at 13 x 9.8 cm is the one that usually ends up boiling water while the first is cooking. The two pans, 13.8 x 6.5 cm and 12.1 x 6.3 cm, work as frying pans, plates or bowls depending on what the meal needs. Aluminium alloy was chosen for the same reason it always is on camping cookware – it takes the heat of a small gas burner quickly, so a 2,000 W camping stove behaves more like a kitchen hob than it has any right to.

Each piece has a handle that folds flat against the body for packing and swings out with a silicone sleeve over the metal. That sleeve is the part you notice in use: on a windy site you can take a pot off the burner with bare hands rather than hunting for a cloth. The interiors carry a non-stick coating, so eggs and ugali release instead of welding themselves to the base, and cleaning is a wipe rather than a scrub – which counts for a lot when every litre of washing water had to be carried in.

For Tanzanian conditions this is a set for two, or for one person who likes a proper meal. On Kilimanjaro or a Udzungwa trek it disappears into a pack; on a Serengeti or Mikumi camping trip it sits in the vehicle box and comes out for coffee and dinner. It runs on a gas burner, a petrol stove or a small charcoal jiko equally well, though the non-stick lining lasts longer if you keep it away from a roaring open wood fire.

Buying a Tableware Camping Set in Tanzania

361 Degrees Adventure keeps the tableware camping set at our showroom in Upanga, Dar es Salaam, with delivery countrywide across Tanzania. Come and handle it before you buy, or order online and collect.

Every tableware camping set is checked in store before it leaves us, and our staff use the same kit in the field, so you get an honest answer on fit and sizing rather than a sales pitch.

Not sure which tableware camping set suits you? Call or message the showroom and we will talk you through the options that are actually in stock in Dar es Salaam.

Spare parts and replacements for the tableware camping set are easier to get here than on an overseas order, which matters once the gear is in use.

Pricing on the tableware camping set is quoted in Tanzanian shillings, VAT included, so the figure you see is the figure you pay at the counter in Dar es Salaam.

If you are buying a tableware camping set for a club, a school or a trip group, ask about quantity pricing – we supply teams and tour operators across Tanzania regularly.

Questions

Good to know

Is this enough cookware for two people?

Yes. The large pot handles a two-person main course while the smaller pot boils water for tea or coffee, and the two pans double as plates. For three or more people you would want a second set or a larger single pot.

Will it work on the camping stoves you sell?

Yes. The bases are flat and sized for a standard camping burner, so it sits properly on any of the single or double burner stoves we stock in Dar es Salaam. No adaptor is needed.

Can I use it over charcoal or an open wood fire?

Over a charcoal jiko, yes. Over a roaring wood fire we would say no - direct flame licking up the sides will discolour the aluminium and shorten the life of the non-stick lining. Charcoal embers or a gas burner are what this set is built for.

Does it fit in a backpack for Kilimanjaro?

Easily. Packed it is 14.5 cm across and 18 cm tall, about the size of a one-litre bottle, and the 450 g total is light enough that most trekkers carry it rather than leaving it to a porter.

Is a gas canister included?

No, and the canister is not part of this set. A 230 g screw-thread canister does fit inside the stack for packing, though, which is how most people carry it. We stock canisters separately.

Can I use metal forks and spoons in it?

Better not to. Metal edges scratch through a non-stick lining faster than anything else. Wooden or silicone utensils will keep the coating intact for years rather than months.

How do I wash it on a camp site with limited water?

Wipe it out while it is still warm with a little water and a soft cloth - the non-stick surface means food lifts off without soaking. Avoid steel wool and sand scrubbing, which is what usually kills these sets.

Do you have this in stock in Dar es Salaam?

We keep this set in the Dar es Salaam showroom. Call or message before travelling in and we will confirm what is on the shelf that day, or arrange delivery upcountry.
