About this product

A pop-up privacy cubicle that folds flat without tools: shower, toilet or changing room, 190 cm tall.

This is the folding version: it pops up and collapses back down by hand, with no poles to fit and nothing to thread. For a shelter you put up and take down repeatedly through a trip, that matters more than it does on a sleeping tent.

Inside is 120 x 120 cm with 190 cm of height, enough to stand, undress and turn around. Mesh windows and zippered doors give airflow without giving up privacy, which is the pair of things a changing tent has to balance.

It comes with ground pegs and guy ropes, which on a tall light cubicle are essential rather than optional, and a carry bag. Around 2.2 to 2.5 kg.

Good to know

How does it fold down?

By hand, with no tools. It collapses and twists flat into its bag, the same technique as any pop-up. Practise once at home rather than working it out on a beach.

Can I actually shower in it?

Yes, with a solar shower bag or a pressurised camp shower hung inside. At 190 cm there is headroom for a bag above you. No shower bag is included.

What colour will I receive?

Typically olive green or dark grey, though the supplier varies this between batches. Ask us what is in stock if the colour matters to you.

How does it cope with wind?

Badly if you do not peg it. A tall narrow box is the worst possible shape for wind and these tents are light. Peg every corner and run the guy ropes whenever it is standing, and take it down rather than leaving it up overnight in weather.

Does it block the view properly?

The fabric is opaque in daylight. At night a lamp inside will throw a silhouette, as it would in any tent, so use a torch low down rather than a bright lantern at head height.

How do I look after it?

Dry it completely before packing, which matters more here than on other tents because it gets wet inside by design. Leave it open in the sun until the floor is dry, or it will mildew. Sponge with mild soap and cool water.
