A 190 cm tall privacy cubicle on a steel frame, for showering, changing or a camp toilet. 2.17 kg.

Everything else at a camp can be improvised. Privacy cannot. This is a 120 x 120 cm floor with 190 cm of height, enough to stand and change without pressing against the walls.

The frame is 5.3 mm steel bracket bracing rather than fiberglass, which is the notable part at this price: steel holds its shape in a breeze where a light fiberglass frame flexes, and a tall narrow tent is exactly the shape that gets pushed around. The flysheet is 190T polyester rated between 1500 mm and 2000 mm.

At 2.17 kg it is the lightest shelter of its kind we stock, and it serves equally as a shower enclosure, a changing room or a screen around a camp toilet.

Good to know

Why does a steel frame matter on a shower tent?

Because of the shape. A tall narrow box catches wind badly, and a light fiberglass frame bends under that load. Steel bracing holds the cubicle square, which is what stops it folding while somebody is inside it.

Can I actually shower in it?

Yes, with a solar shower bag or a pressurised camp shower hung inside. At 190 cm there is headroom for a bag above you. No shower bag is included.

Will one person fit comfortably?

120 x 120 cm is enough to stand, undress, dry off and dress again. It is a cubicle for one, not a room for two.

How does it cope with wind?

Badly if you do not peg it. A tall narrow box is the worst possible shape for wind and these tents are light. Peg every corner and run the guy ropes whenever it is standing, and take it down rather than leaving it up overnight in weather.

Does it block the view properly?

The fabric is opaque in daylight. At night a lamp inside will throw a silhouette, as it would in any tent, so use a torch low down rather than a bright lantern at head height.

How do I look after it?

Dry it completely before packing, which matters more here than on other tents because it gets wet inside by design. Leave it open in the sun until the floor is dry, or it will mildew. Sponge with mild soap and cool water.
