Anyone with long or thick hair knows the problem with a standard swim cap: there is simply not enough room in it, and getting the hair in means stretching the cap to the point where it grips the head uncomfortably and tries to slide off.
A bubble cap solves it with texture. The fabric is moulded with a bubble pattern that gives the cap volume without needing to be stretched, so there is room for hair inside while the edge still sits snug.
Being nylon fabric rather than silicone or latex, it is also much gentler on hair. Nothing grips, nothing pulls, and it does not catch when you take it off – which is where most hair damage from caps actually happens.
The trade-off is that a fabric cap is not waterproof the way silicone is. It keeps hair contained and reduces drag, and it keeps hair a little drier, but water goes through the fabric. If keeping hair dry is the priority, a silicone cap does that better; if comfort and room for long hair matter more, this is the one.
Rinse it in fresh water after every swim and let it dry – chlorine left in nylon degrades the fibres and fades the colour.
