Highlights

Carbon is the upgrade that you feel

Players spend a long time choosing between rackets and then buy another aluminium one. The jump that actually changes your game is aluminium or steel to carbon fibre - lighter, faster to the shuttle, and far more of what happens at the strings reaches your hand.

Carbon fibre frame

The real upgrade from a steel or aluminium starter racket.

Light and quick

Carbon lets a frame be stiff without being heavy, which is what gets the head to the shuttle faster.

Case included

Keeps the frame protected and, more importantly here, out of direct heat.

Priced below the branded equivalents

A sensible way into carbon if a Yonex is out of budget.

Product description

About this product

Badminton Racket with Case – in stock at 361 Degrees Adventure in Dar es Salaam.

This is a carbon-fibre badminton racket supplied with a case, from MSLON – a value brand rather than one of the established names.

The reason to consider it is the material. Moving from an aluminium or steel racket to carbon fibre is the biggest single change most players ever feel in equipment. A carbon frame is lighter for the same stiffness, which means the head gets to the shuttle faster; it transmits far more of what is happening at the string bed to your hand, so you can feel a good contact from a poor one; and it does not bend permanently when it clips the floor.

What you are not buying is the engineering behind an established brand. Companies like Yonex publish balance points, shaft flex ratings, weight grades and maximum string tensions for every frame, and they stand behind them. Value-brand rackets rarely publish any of that, and where they do it is not independently checked. That does not make the racket bad; it does mean you are buying on feel rather than on specification.

Practical consequence: be conservative with string tension. Without a published maximum, string it in the low twenties rather than guessing high. A frame strung beyond what it was designed for fails at the head, usually mid-rally.

The case is more useful in Tanzania than it looks. Heat is what damages rackets here – a frame left in a car loses string tension within hours and the resin suffers over time. A cover slows that and keeps the frame off other things in a bag.

Buying a Badminton Racket with Case in Dar es Salaam

361 Degrees Adventure keeps the badminton racket with case at our showroom in Upanga, Dar es Salaam, with delivery countrywide across Tanzania. Come and handle it before you buy, or order online and collect.

Every badminton racket with case is checked in store before it leaves us, and our staff use the same kit in the field, so you get an honest answer on fit and sizing rather than a sales pitch.

Not sure which badminton racket with case suits you? Call or message the showroom and we will talk you through the options that are actually in stock in Tanzania.

Spare parts and replacements for the badminton racket with case are easier to get here than on an overseas order, which matters once the gear is in use.

Questions

Good to know

Why are the weight and balance not listed?

Because the manufacturer does not publish them, and we will not invent figures. Established brands publish weight grades, balance points, shaft flex and maximum tension for every frame; value brands generally do not. If those figures matter to you, buy a racket from a brand that stands behind them.

What tension should it be strung at?

Low twenties, and no higher. Without a published maximum there is no way to know what the frame will take, and a racket strung beyond its design fails at the head. Tell your stringer that no maximum is published and ask them to be conservative.

Is it better than a Yonex GR 303i?

It is a different trade. The MSLON is carbon, which is a genuinely better material than the GR 303i-s aluminium and steel. The Yonex is a documented racket from a company that publishes its specifications and can be serviced anywhere. Carbon matters more for how it plays; documentation matters more for what you can rely on.

Is carbon fibre fragile?

It does not bend, but it can crack - from a racket clash in doubles, from hitting the floor hard, or from being strung too tight. An aluminium racket survives that treatment better. That is the trade you make for the performance.

Who should buy this racket?

Someone moving up from an aluminium starter racket who wants to feel the difference without spending on a branded frame. If you play competitively or you want a racket you can match to a known specification, spend more.

What string tension should I ask for?

Lower than you think, and never above the maximum printed on the frame. Club players here are usually best between 22 and 24 lb - lower tension gives a bigger sweet spot and more power for less effort. High tension only pays off if you already generate your own power, and it breaks strings and frames faster in this heat.

How should I look after a racket in this climate?

Keep it out of a hot car. Heat is what destroys rackets here - it softens the resin in the graphite and cooks the string tension out. Store it in a cover, out of direct sun, and never leave it in a boot all afternoon.

Do you deliver in Dar es Salaam?
