No. A travel adaptor changes the shape of the plug and nothing else. The British Standard for travel adaptors requires the words This adaptor does not convert voltage to be printed on the product, because the confusion is so common. Tanzania runs at a nominal 230 V, 50 Hz, so an appliance marked 100-240V or 220-240V works here on the adaptor alone. One marked 120V or 110-127V will not, and needs a transformer.

We have not been given a test report showing earth continuity through this adaptor, so we are telling you to assume it does NOT carry earth. That is the safe assumption and it dictates what you should use it for. An earth pin on the adaptor body does not prove the earth is carried through to the socket - some units fit a plastic dummy pin purely to open the shutters on a Type G socket.

No, and the number is meaningless. There are 195 countries, and 249 codes in the ISO list that includes territories. More to the point, country count is not the specification - there are only about fifteen plug types in the world, and a universal adaptor physically accepts about four of them. We have replaced the country claim with the plug types it actually takes.

We would not. Even where a high wattage is printed on the body, that figure is frequently optimistic on unbranded adaptors, and a loose or undersized contact carrying several amps gets hot. Keep it to chargers and low-draw electronics, and if the adaptor or the plug feels warm to the touch, stop using it.
