About this product

This is a carrier rather than a rucksack: a slim camouflage pack sized to hold a hydration bladder against your back with the drinking tube routed over the shoulder. It keeps the weight of your water high and close, which is the comfortable place for it, and leaves your hands free.

The shell is 600D Oxford, the lining 210D nylon. Empty it weighs about 0.4 kg and measures roughly 50 x 25 cm.

Good to know

Does it come with a bladder?

Ask us before you order. Packs of this type are sold both ways, and we would rather tell you exactly what is in the one on our shelf than guess. We also stock 3 litre bladders separately.

Where do these figures come from?

The capacity, size and material figures on this page are the supplier's rather than an independently tested manufacturer specification, and they are marked as such in the table. If a number matters to your decision, ask us and we will measure the item in the shop.

Which size bladder fits?

It is sized for a standard 2 to 3 litre bladder. Bring yours in if you already own one and we will check it sits flat.

How do I keep the bladder clean inside?

Rinse it after every use and hang it upside down, propped open, until it is completely dry. A bladder stored damp in this climate grows mould inside a week.

Will it hold anything besides water?

There is room for keys, a phone and a few small items, but it is a hydration carrier, not a day pack. For a day out you want a proper rucksack with this alongside.

Is the camouflage suitable for hunting?

It is a generic camouflage pattern rather than a matched one. For hunting, what matters more is that it is quiet fabric and does not flash in sunlight, which it does not.

How do I wash the pack?

Sponge it with cold water and mild soap and dry it in the shade. Do not machine wash it, which breaks down the coating on Oxford fabric.
