About this product

Most flashlight mounts need a rail or a clamp and a tool. The GM02 MH does not: two strips of strong magnetic pad hold it against a steel barrel, and the light sits in a one-inch ring on top. It goes on in seconds, comes off in seconds, and leaves nothing behind.

It is sized for 1 inch (25.4 mm) flashlight bodies, which covers most of Nitecore’s full-size tactical lights and a good many others.

Before You Buy

Measure the body diameter of your flashlight, not the head. The mount holds a 25.4 mm tube. The magnets need a ferrous barrel to grip, so they will not hold on aluminium or polymer.

Good to know

Will it hold under recoil?

The magnets are strong and hold well on a steel barrel, but a magnetic mount is a convenience mount. For heavy recoil or hard use, a clamped rail mount such as the GM04 is the more secure choice.

Will it fit my flashlight?

It takes a 1 inch (25.4 mm) body. Measure the tube of your light, not the head, which is usually wider. Bring the light in if you would like it checked.

Does it work on a shotgun or an air rifle?

It works on any ferrous barrel of a suitable size. It will not grip aluminium, polymer or a heavily coated barrel where the magnets cannot get close to the steel.

Will it scratch the barrel?

The magnetic pads are the contact surface, not bare metal. Keep grit out from under them, because trapped sand will mark a finish.

Can I use it on something other than a firearm?

Yes. People use these on vehicle bodywork, machinery and workshop benches wherever a light needs to sit somewhere steel and come off again.

Is it legal to mount a light on a firearm here?

Mounting a light is generally a matter for your firearm licence conditions and the rules of wherever you are shooting. Check before you use it on game, as lamping rules vary by district.
