About this product

The NL2155HP is the high-performance 21700: 5,500 mAh with a 20 A continuous discharge rating, which is the combination a light like the P40 LEP or the HC75 UHE headlamp is built around.

It also carries an IPX6 rating of its own, so a damp battery compartment after a wet night is not an immediate problem.

Good to know

Will it fit my light?

It is the cell supplied with the P40 and the HC75 UHE. It is not an i-series cell, so it is not the right battery for the P20iX, P23i or P30i. Tell us the model and we will match it.

How do I charge it?

In a light that supports in-light charging, or in a charger such as the Nitecore UM2. There is no USB port in this cell.

What does IPX6 on a battery mean?

It is rated against powerful water jets. On a headlamp used in heavy rain that is a real advantage, though the lamp's own sealing is still the first line of defence.

How should I store a spare?

Around half charged, somewhere cool, with the terminals covered. Never store one flat, and never loose with keys or coins.

Can I fly with it?

Spare lithium cells go in cabin baggage only, never in the hold, with terminals taped or in a case. Check how many your airline allows.

What if it swells or gets hot?

Take it out of service immediately. Do not charge it, do not puncture it, and dispose of it at a recycling point rather than in household waste.

How long will it last?

Several hundred full cycles. Heat is what ages a lithium cell fastest, so keep the light out of a parked car in the sun.

When should I replace it?

When the runtime is clearly shorter than it was when new, or it will not hold charge for a week unused.
