A spring clip earns its place by being the fastest way to attach anything to anything: a water bottle to a pack strap, keys to a belt loop, a towel to a guy line, a dry bag to a kayak. Aluminium alloy keeps it light and stops it rusting in coastal air the way a steel clip does.
Important: this is a gear clip, not climbing equipment. Real climbing carabiners carry a CE and UIAA certification mark and a kN rating stamped into the spine, are individually batch tested, and cost many times this. This one has none of that, and we will not sell it as something it is not. Use it for hanging and securing kit. Never use it to hold a person, in a climbing system, or for a hammock or anything overhead where a failure would drop a load onto somebody.
