About this product
The handle is a container, and that is the whole idea.
This is the classic hollow-handle survival knife pattern: the aluminium grip unscrews and stores small emergency kit inside, sealed against water by an O-ring in the cap. The sheath carries more than the knife, including a second utility blade and a length of nylon cord.
It is built as an emergency-kit knife rather than a refined bushcraft tool. The appeal is that one item in a vehicle or a pack covers cutting, cordage and a small cache of survival odds and ends.
Be realistic about hollow handles. A hollow-handle knife is not full tang: the blade is fixed into the handle rather than running through it. That is fine for cutting, prising open a tin, or cutting cord. It is not a knife to baton through firewood or pry with, because the joint is where it will fail. If you want a knife for heavy work, buy a full-tang one and keep this for the kit it carries.
