About this product
The CORE 40076 does something most torches do not: it reads the light around it and sets its own brightness. Flip the auto switch and the beam eases back in a dark room and opens up in a large space, which saves both battery and the business of cycling through modes.
Used manually it has two levels. One press gives 1,500 lumens on high for 2 hours; two presses give 125 lumens on low for 21 hours. A half press gives a momentary burst without turning the light fully on, which is the feature people use most often once they have it.
The lithium-ion battery is built in and not replaceable, charged through a micro-USB port under a sliding cover at the tail. The body is aluminium, rated IPX4 for rain, and impact resistant to a metre.
