Twelve steel tip darts with sharpening tools included – four players with three darts each, in a mix of finishes across the set, so each player can take three darts they recognise as theirs.
A twelve-dart kit is what a household, an office or a bar actually needs, as opposed to what a single player buys. Nobody is sharing, nobody is waiting for the previous player to pull their darts out, and when one goes behind a cupboard it is not the end of the game.
The sharpening tools are a more useful inclusion than they look. Steel points pick up burrs and flat spots every time they strike a wire, and those defects make darts skid off the wire and bounce out. Ten or fifteen seconds with a stone restores a smooth, slightly rounded tip. What you must never do is grind a point to a needle – that increases bounce-outs rather than reducing them, and it cuts the sisal fibres in your board instead of parting them, which puts permanent holes in a surface that would otherwise self-heal for years.
Steel tip means a sisal bristle board. These will damage an electronic board.
One note on the specification: we have not been able to verify a published weight for this kit – candidates in this category run at 20 g and 24 g, and those throw quite differently. Ask us and we will check the stock before you order.
