Product description

About this product

A knife in your wallet, which means a knife you have.

It sits flat next to your cards at 2.2 mm thick and 13 grams. Unfolded it becomes a working knife with a 65 mm cutting edge: enough for packaging, cord, fruit, tape and the dozens of small jobs that make you wish you had a blade.

The body is polypropylene with a stainless blade, and there is a safety lock so it cannot open in the wallet.

It is not a camp knife and does not pretend to be. It is the blade you have when you did not bring one.

Questions

Good to know

Is it actually sharp enough to be useful?

For packaging, cord, tape, fruit and opening things, yes. It is not a knife for food prep at camp or for anything needing force, because the body is plastic and the grip is thin. Judge it as a card-sized backup and it does well.

Will it open in my wallet?

No, there is a safety lock. Make sure it is engaged when you fold it, the same as with any folding knife.

Can I fly with it?

Not in hand luggage. It is a knife regardless of its shape, and card knives are well known to security. Put it in checked baggage or leave it at home.

How long will it last?

The blade is thin, so treat it gently and it will serve a long time. Prying with it or forcing it will bend the blade or break the plastic body. At this price it is a consumable rather than an heirloom.

How do I look after it?

Keep it dry, since a wallet is a humid place. Wipe the blade occasionally. If it stiffens, a drop of oil at the pivot fixes it.
