About this product
Water Tank with Strap – in stock at 361 Degrees Adventure in Tanzania.
Water is the thing you always run short of and never want to carry more of than necessary. Twenty litres is the practical middle: enough for two people cooking, washing up and brushing teeth over a weekend, and light enough that a full tank still comes down off a rack by hand rather than needing two people.
It is moulded in BPA-free food-grade polyethylene, which matters more than it sounds. A general-purpose plastic container holds water fine for a day, then starts to taste of itself; a food-grade tank does not, and it is made to spend its life in the sun without degrading. Moulded handles are built into the body for carrying and pouring.
The shape is the other half of the design. Rectangular means it sits flush against other gear instead of wasting the wedge of space a round jerry can leaves, and it stacks. A webbing strap with quick-release buckles secures it to a roof rack, a load bed or a rack tray, and releases in seconds when you set up camp.
It comes with a steel tap that can be locked, so the tank can be left standing at camp without the water quietly leaving. It fits Front Runner racks and mounts to other surfaces with the same strap. Rinse the tank before first use and empty it between trips rather than leaving water standing in the heat.
Buying a Water Tank with Strap in Tanzania
361 Degrees Adventure keeps the water tank with strap at our showroom in Upanga, Dar es Salaam, with delivery countrywide across Tanzania. Come and handle it before you buy, or order online and collect.
Every water tank with strap is checked in store before it leaves us, and our staff use the same kit in the field, so you get an honest answer on fit and sizing rather than a sales pitch.
Not sure which water tank with strap suits you? Call or message the showroom and we will talk you through the options that are actually in stock in Dar es Salaam.
Spare parts and replacements for the water tank with strap are easier to get here than on an overseas order, which matters once the gear is in use.
