A pickup load bed is the most useful space on the vehicle and the easiest to fill. Put a rooftop tent in it and it is gone; put boxes and a fridge in it and there is nowhere for the tent. This rack kit gives you a second deck: a full 1,255 x 1,358 mm Slimline II tray standing on four tall legs above the bed, so gear goes up top and the bed underneath stays usable.
The tray is only 50 mm – two inches – deep. That matters more than it sounds. A tall rack adds height, wind noise and fuel consumption; a low-profile tray gives you the mounting surface without much of the penalty. Materials are black epoxy powder-coated T6 aluminium with high-strength steel legs and tracks, which is the right combination for coastal Tanzanian air.
T-slots run along the top and the bottom of the tray, taking standard 8 mm bolts. That means accessories mount anywhere along the slots and on either face – tent, awning, recovery board brackets, Wolf Pack Pro brackets, water tank, lights, spare wheel clamp – rather than at fixed points chosen by someone else.
The kit is the tray, two 1,000 mm load bed tracks and four universal tall legs with all mounting components and instructions. One thing to be clear about before you buy: fitting this kit requires drilling. It is a permanent installation designed to be done properly, and we would rather you knew that now than found out on the day.
