Product description

About this product

Muc-Off All Weather Lube is the one-bottle answer for a rider who does not want to keep swapping between dry and wet. It is a high-performance synthetic with a water-repellent, non-fling formula, blended with extreme-pressure additives and built for long-distance riding on and off road in whatever the weather is doing.

The honest trade-off is that a compromise lube is a compromise. A dedicated dry lube will keep a chain cleaner through a Tanzanian dry season, and a dedicated wet lube will hold on better through masika. All Weather sits between the two and does both jobs well enough that most riders never notice – which for a commuter or a weekend rider is exactly the right answer.

It penetrates deep into the link and leaves a durable protective coating that guards against corrosion as well as wear. That corrosion point matters near the coast, where salt air goes after a chain far faster than it does inland.

This is the 50 ml bottle. Muc-Off also sell it in 120 ml.

Questions

Good to know

Should I use this or a dedicated dry lube?

If you ride mainly through the dry season and care about a clean drivetrain, a dry lube wins. If you commute year round and want one bottle on the shelf, All Weather is the practical choice - it handles both seasons without you having to think about it.

What does non-fling mean?

The formula is designed to stay on the chain rather than spinning off onto the frame and rear wheel when you pedal. In practice it means less black spray up the seat stay and down tube.

How do I apply it properly?

On a clean, dry chain: one drop per link, back-pedal a few turns to work it into the rollers, leave it to settle, then wipe the outside of the chain with a rag. Lube left on the outer plates does nothing except collect dust.

Do I need to degrease the chain first?

Yes, and it matters more than which lube you pick. Fresh lube laid over old lube and grit just seals the grit inside the links. Degrease, rinse, let it dry fully, then lubricate.

I ride near the coast. Does salt air matter?

It does. Salt-laden air off the Indian Ocean accelerates corrosion on chains, cassettes, cables and bolts far faster than inland. Rinse the bike after a beach or Kigamboni ride, dry it, and re-lube - that single habit does more for drivetrain life here than any upgrade.

How should I store it in this climate?

Keep it out of direct sun and away from a hot car boot. Aerosols and solvent-based products do not enjoy sitting at 40 degrees C, and a cupboard indoors is fine. Close the cap properly - humidity on the coast gets into anything left open.

Do you deliver in Dar es Salaam?

Yes. We deliver across Dar es Salaam and send nationwide to Arusha, Moshi, Mwanza, Dodoma, Zanzibar and beyond by courier. Call or WhatsApp us if you need a same-day drop in the city.

Can I get spares and support locally?

Yes. We stock consumables and the common wear parts, and we can advise on what fits your bike before you buy. Bring the bike or a clear photo of the drivetrain if you are unsure.
