About this product

Not every cold bag needs to be a box. This one is soft, light, retro-styled, and looks enough like a normal bag to carry into an office or a restaurant. It keeps food cold for about eight hours and warm for about three, which covers a working day either way.

The outer is a stain-resistant 100% polyester, waterproof and easy to wipe down; the lining is food grade. It comes in 7 litres (23 x 16 x 23 cm, about 246 g) and 15 litres (30 x 19 x 30 cm, about 520 g).

Good to know

Which size should I buy?

Seven litres is a lunch bag for one or two people. Fifteen litres is a family picnic or a shop run for frozen goods.

How do I make the 8 hours count?

Put a frozen ice pack or a frozen water bottle in with the food, pack it full, and keep it out of the sun. A soft bag has thinner insulation than a box, so shade matters more.

Can I use it to keep food hot?

Yes, for about three hours. Wrap hot dishes in foil first, which holds the heat far better than the bag alone.

Is it waterproof if something leaks inside?

The lining is food grade and wipes clean, and the outer is waterproof. Leaks are contained, but wash it the same day.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the lining with warm soapy water and dry it open. Do not machine wash it, which crushes the insulation layer.

Will it smell?

Only if you put it away damp. Leave it open overnight after each use, which in this climate is the whole trick.

Can I carry it over a shoulder?

It is built around carry handles. Check what is on the one in the shop if you want a strap.
