It is built around a brass main gear in a die-cast aluminium frame with aluminium side plates, and Noeby rate it to 15 kg of maximum drag – roughly three times what a typical baitcaster of this shape offers.
That combination makes it a light jigging and heavy lure reel rather than a finesse tool. Brass is heavier than the aluminium used in lighter reels and considerably harder wearing, which is what you want when the gear is under load for minutes at a time rather than seconds. The metal frame is what lets the drag figure be real: at 15 kg a graphite frame would twist and the gears would stop meshing cleanly.
Geared at 6.4:1 with 9+1 bearings and weighing 288 g, it carries 280 m of PE 3 or 200 m of PE 4. It ships with two handle arms, 83 mm and 100 mm, so you can choose between a shorter arm for speed and a longer one for cranking leverage.
