About this product

A zoomable torch does something fixed-beam lights cannot: sliding the head moves the lens over the LED, changing the beam from a wide even flood for working close in to a tight square-edged spot for reaching out. One light, two jobs.

This one is built around a 26650 lithium cell of 5,000 mAh, charged in the torch over USB-C, in a machined aluminium body with an IP65 rating. It comes in a hard case with the cell and accessories rather than loose in a bag.

How many lumens does it produce?

No verified figure exists for this torch. Listings for lights of this type quote numbers that are rarely tested, so we have left the claim off the page rather than repeat one. Compare the beam in the shop against the Nitecore and CORE lights, whose figures are independently stated.

What does zoomable actually change?

It slides a lens over the LED. Pulled out, you get a tight square-edged spot that carries further. Pushed in, a wide even flood for close work. The trade is that a zoom lens loses some light compared with a fixed reflector.

What is a 26650 cell?

The largest common cylindrical lithium cell, larger than an 18650 or a 21700, holding about 5,000 mAh here. More capacity means longer runtime, and it is why this torch is chunkier than most.

Can I use 18650 batteries instead?

Many torches of this type accept smaller cells with an adapter, but do not assume it. Bring the torch in and we will check what fits before you buy cells.

Is it waterproof?

IP65 covers dust and water jets, so rain is fine. It is not for immersion, and the zoom slide is the part most likely to let water past if it is forced when gritty.

How do I look after the zoom?

Keep sand and grit off the sliding surfaces and do not force it. A gritty zoom that is forced will score the tube and then it will never seal properly again.

How long does the battery take to charge?

Several hours from flat, because 5,000 mAh is a lot to put in over USB-C. A higher-current charger helps.
