About this product
Grylls Folding Sheath Knife – in stock at 361 Degrees Adventure in Dar es Salaam.
The one you actually carry.
A fixed blade is the better tool and the worse companion: it is bulky on a belt and awkward in a pocket. This folds to under five inches and rides in a nylon sheath on your belt or in a pack, which means it is with you when a job turns up rather than back at camp.
The blade is a 3.6 inch drop point, half serrated and half plain. The serrated section cuts rope, webbing and seatbelt far faster than a plain edge; the plain section handles everything else. Thumb studs on both sides open it one-handed, either hand, and a lockback holds it open.
The handle is textured rubber, which is the part that matters when your hands are wet or cold.
