There are two ways to tie a load down and both have a problem. A ratchet strap holds firmly but needs two hands and a handle, and once the load settles on a rough road the strap goes slack and rattles for the rest of the journey. A bungee cord is instant but holds almost nothing and its hooks bend open.
Stratchits sit between the two. The core is a latex bungee inside polyester webbing, with 7 mm stainless steel carabiners at each end, and the working load limit is 100 kg – which is genuine holding force rather than a suggestion. They fit in a second: clip one end, stretch, clip the other. And because they stretch, a load that settles keeps being pulled tight instead of going slack.
The length range is what makes a single pair useful. They adjust from 560 mm to 1,524 mm, which is 22 to 60 inches, and stretch a further 200 mm under tension. That covers strapping a small dry bag to a rack and holding a bulky load on a trailer, without owning four different sizes. A Velcro tail tab keeps the loose end from flapping.
The stainless carabiners matter on the Tanzanian coast, where plated steel hooks corrode within a season. Clip them to tie-down rings, loop them around rack slats, side profiles, rails, poles, bumpers or a tyre carrier. They are made for Front Runner racks and work on any rack system.
