A light that clips onto the peak of a cap, so you get a head torch without the headband. It weighs almost nothing on the brim, does not squeeze your forehead, and comes off in a second when you take the cap off.
The switch is a motion sensor: wave a hand in front of it and the light comes on or off. When your hands are wet, greasy or holding a fish, that matters more than it sounds.
Six LEDs behind a wide lens throw a broad beam rather than a narrow spot, which suits close work – rigging a line, cooking, fixing something – better than a distance beam. The head pivots through 180 degrees so you can aim it down at your hands instead of into the eyes of the person opposite.
