About this product
Fibreglass tent poles snap. They are cheap, they are found in most budget dome tents and gazebos, and when one goes the tent is unusable until the pole is straight again. This connector is the standard repair: a steel sleeve with a 7 mm bore that the two broken ends slide into, holding the pole straight and carrying the bend.
The same part is used to link two rods together to make a longer hoop, which is why you will also see them sold for greenhouse and polytunnel frames.
Key Features
- 7 mm inner diameter, for 7 mm fibreglass rod
- Alloy steel construction
- Joins a break or links two rods end to end
- Silver finish
How To Use It
- Trim any splinters off the broken ends so they slide in cleanly.
- Push both ends into the sleeve until they meet in the middle.
- Tape over each end of the sleeve with gear tape to stop it creeping along the pole.
Who It Suits
Owners of fibreglass-poled dome tents, beach shelters, pop-up gazebos and garden hoop frames. Measure the rod first, because 7 mm, 8 mm and 11 mm are all common and the sleeve has to match.
What Is Included
- Metal tent pole connector, 7 mm
