Most repair jobs on camping and water gear fail at the edge of the patch, because a stiff patch on a flexible surface peels the moment the fabric moves. TPU does not have that problem. It is the same family of material used to coat inflatable boat fabric and hydration bladders, so it stretches and recovers with whatever it is stuck to.
The roll is 10 cm wide and 1.5 m long at 0.3 mm thick, with a single-sided acrylic adhesive. It is clear, so it works on a tent fly, a groundsheet, a pool liner or a dinghy without looking like a repair.

How To Apply It
- Clean the area with fresh water and let it dry completely. On a boat, wipe with alcohol if you have it.
- Cut a patch that overlaps the damage by at least 2 cm on every side, and round the corners. Square corners lift.
- Peel the backing, lay the patch from one edge to avoid trapping air, and press hard from the centre outwards.
- Leave it a few hours before putting the item back under pressure or in water.

Anyone with an inflatable boat, a kayak, a tent, an awning, a pool or pool liner, or rubber and leather gear that has taken a nick. It belongs in the same bag as the tent pole repair tubes.
