About this product
This is a frame pole set, not a telescopic upright. Short sections threaded on an internal elastic cord spring together into a long, flexible pole of roughly three and a half metres, which is the sort of length a five to eight person dome or tunnel tent uses across its arch. Kept in the vehicle, a set like this is the difference between a broken pole ending a trip and costing you ten minutes.
The poles are 7001 aluminium alloy, the aviation-grade alloy used for good tent frames, with a gold anodised finish that is a surface treatment rather than paint. Because the sections fold down, a 3.5 m pole travels as a short bundle in the supplied sleeve.

Pole diameters vary between tents, and 8.5 mm is common but not universal. Measure across the end of one of your existing pole sections with a ruler before ordering, or bring the broken pole into the shop and we will match both the diameter and the assembled length.
