About this product
These are one8 7 batting gloves – the accessible end of the one8 glove range.
one8 is worth explaining, because player-branded cricket equipment is usually just a name printed on an existing product. one8 is not that: it is Virat Kohli-s own brand, launched with Puma in 2017, with its own product lines, its own design direction and its own numbering. The black and gold is a one8 colourway rather than a Puma one.
The numbering runs downwards as it does across Puma cricket: one8 1 and 1.2 are the top of the range, and 7 is the entry. That is the honest position of this glove.
We need to flag something. Puma India no longer list the one8 7 – it is a discontinued season, and Puma publish no specifications for it: no palm material, no padding construction, no official sizing. Dealers sell it in small boys, boys, youth and mens. We would rather tell you that than repeat figures we cannot source.
What that means practically: tell us the hand size you need and whether you bat right or left handed, and we will check the stock and describe what is actually in the box before you commit. Being discontinued also means what we have is what there is.
Wear cotton inners underneath, as with any batting glove in this climate. They absorb the sweat that rots a lining, and they can be washed when the gloves cannot.
