The M131 is the longer of the two Junxing compounds we stock. At 34 inches axle-to-axle it sits between a compact hunting bow and a full target rig, and that length is the reason to choose it.
A longer bow is more forgiving. The string sits at a shallower angle at full draw, so it pinches your fingers less and sits more consistently against your face. The bow itself is harder to torque in the hand, and the sight pin simply wanders less because the mass is spread further apart. If your goal is to group arrows rather than to squeeze into a hide, length is what you want.
The trade is manoeuvrability. In a blind, in thick bush, or shooting from a seated position, 34 inches is a lot of bow. That is the argument for the shorter M120, not for this one.
Draw weight runs 30 to 55 lb at the limb bolts, which is a sensible adult range rather than a sticker-chasing one, and draw length adjusts from 24 to 29.5 inches without tools. Let-off is 70%, so on a 50 lb setting you are holding around 15 lb while you aim – enough to settle, breathe out and release cleanly.
It also takes a bowfishing reel on the riser, which is worth knowing if you fish. Bowfishing runs at very short range with heavy solid fibreglass arrows and a line attached, and this platform is sold for it as well as for target work.
